The short version

ScreenForge runs on your Mac. It contacts a server only when you press Activate or Buy, and then it sends one thing: your email address. There are no analytics, no crash reports and no version pings. Your recordings and exports never leave your computer unless you move them yourself.

01What stays on your Mac

Everything the app makes: recordings, projects, the audio track, exports, and the license key once it has been activated. ScreenForge writes them to the folders you choose and reads them back. None of it is uploaded, synced or copied anywhere by the app.

02When the app talks to a server

Two buttons and nothing else:

Both requests go over HTTPS. Opening the app, recording, editing and exporting make no network requests at all.

03What we keep

If you buy a license: the email address you paid with, the plan, the key issued to it, and whether the subscription is active. That record exists so the key can be resent, renewed or refunded. We do not keep a profile, a usage history or anything about the recordings you make.

04Who else is involved

05What we do not do

06Deleting your data

Email license@screenforge.studio from the address you paid with and the license record is deleted. The key stops working once it is gone, so ask after a refund rather than before.

07Changes and contact

This policy may change; the date above will change with it, and the history is public in the repository. Questions: license@screenforge.studio. ScreenForge is published by Smartloop Inc.
